Volkswagen is working on a sedan version of its popular (and now car of the year) Volkswagen Polo, which would be built in Russia and destined for emerging and Asian markets. The design of the Volkswagen Polo sedan has been created by the same team as the hatchback model, under the guidance of Walter de Silva, but the new vehicle would include some modifications to adapt it to the different conditions in Eastern Europe and Asia.
This image shows a drawing of the Polo sedan, although reports say the vehicle will be ready in June this year. The Polo Sedan would join the Passat and Jetta with an entry level price of about 10,000 euros. While the Polo will have similar design cues, it will be different to the Volkswagen sedans being developed for the US markt. The NMS and NCS will be larger and will have hybrid drivetrains.
