Carrie Underwood Makes History With 2010 ACM Entertainer Of The Year Win

Carrie Underwood made history at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, becoming the first woman to win entertainer of the year twice.

“I think I just got makeup all over Brad Paisley,” an excited Underwood said as she accepted her trophy at the 45th annual ceremony. “Thank you, God, praise the Lord.”

The “Cowboy Casanova” star won the show’s top honor last year. This year, she beat out Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, The Zac Brown Band, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, George Strait, and Keith Urban. Carrie was also recognized earlier in the evening with a trophy for a “Triple Crown” of ACM wins in the course of her career, having won entertainer of the year, top female vocalist and best newcomer over the years.

Carrie is set to wed her fiance, hockey player Mike Fisher, in a ceremony in Nashville this summer.
