
Italian Renaissance paintings become the inspiration for Christian Westphal’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The range has a very protective quality to the garments with styles that embody an armored look. Metalics and oversized items, as well as large scarves drape the body in an elegant yet battle ready manner. The looks are significantly European in touch with a monochromatic palette of dark blues, greys, and blacks. What also stands out for the collection are the denim which consists of raw black and washed blue jeans – all three are woven and stitched on the famed looms of Okayama, Japan.
