Responsibilities:
• Perform system analysis and simulations in relation to Wind Power Plant grid
compliance studies
• Spearhead Wind Power Plant performance R&D projects including design,
modelling, simulation, instrumentation and documentation
Requirements:
• PhD/Masters in Power System Engineering with relevant years of experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in power system dynamics and control, load
flow and fault analysis, dynamic and transient simulation, and simulation tools (PSS/E,
DigSILENT Power Factory, PSCAD, Matlab)
• Practical experience in transmission system main circuit design, analysis and
planning
• Experience with the commissioning of power system components, and
specification and purchase of power system components
• Experience in power system protection design and relays; and in transmission
and distribution system R&D is an added advantage
