Jordan Romero, a 13-year old American boy summits the highest mountain in the land, surpassing records of 16-year old Nepalese, to clinch the title of being the youngest mountaineer to ever conquer Mt. Everest.
Mt. Everest is measures 29,035 ft above sea level. Romero phoned his mother the moment he reached the peak of the mountain. “I’m calling you from the top of the world”, bubbly teenager uttered.
He also added that each little step he took and every trial he came across while trekking the icy and rough mountain inspired him to reach for his lifetime dream. His father, Paul Romero accompanied his son in trail in what is said to be the biggest mountaineer’s goal.
There were no formal interviews yet with Jordan as he still needs to go back to base camp for some health and physical check-ups. It is imperative for all those who summit the Everest to render at least three nights on top the world. After which, he is scheduled for a return flight to the United States.
The child wonder climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa at the age of 9. Amazing and a good example to his fellow youth.
