FOM Industrie, a historic leader in the door and window frames sector, has expanded its field of operation of recent years to include the development of designs to cover the market band comprising user companies requiring automation-intense solutions with high production capacity. FOM is able to offer flexible, customised “turn-key”, complex, high-productivity automated plants that manufacture the finished element, starting from the extruded bar and delivering the finished piece cut, machined and placed in storage, as in the case of the line illustrated here, already installed in more than one location.
In this type of installation, milling and cutting operations are carried out by means of a multi-spindle structure and a cutting station positioned on the transfer principle; cutting operations thus take place concurrently with other procedures, with a considerable reduction in cycle times. With PVC frames, this type of plant allows a productivity of 500 frames* per shift, while with ALUMINIUM profiles an output of 330 frames* per shift can be achieved. The plant is tended by just one operator. What’s more, an automatic stacker stows the pieces on handy trolleys for transport of the bars to the assembly area.
The plant can be equipped with:
– Vision camera to check correct bar loading
– Automatic system for ink marking on two orthogonal sides of the profile, for example to comply with process quality certification standards.
– Magazine with additional load capacity.
– Additional trolleys for piece storage after unloading
