Energy Engineer

Our client, a vibrant, fast-growing energy solutions firm that is focused on renewable energy development and energy efficiency is seeking a high-energy, client focused energy engineer to help build out their energy advisory services practice. This position will report directly to the COO and will work with current staff to lead the planning, development and execution of complex engineering projects.

You will be responsible for the verification, measurement and tracking for the purpose of auditing permanent energy reductions.

Duties will involve:

• Detailed engineering analyses including electric and carbon baseline profiles, end-use analysis and retrofit analysis for systems including lighting, HVAC, pumping systems, building automation and controls, chillers, boilers, refrigeration, and other commercial and industrial equipment and systems
• Preparing cost proposals for utility or state-sponsored energy efficiency programs, and executing all grant- and incentive-related documentation, including project technical documentation, detailed project costing, and Measurement, Verification, and Tracking (MV&T) plans to meet all state and federally mandated requirements.
• Coordinating with staff, partners, contractors, and client stakeholders to prepare reports for internal management of programs and assure that completed projects meet pre-determined goals

Your background will consist of:

• BS in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering
• 1-3 years experience in energy efficiency
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Certified measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superb client relationship skills
• LEED AP – preferred
