The Americans from Chrysler kept working on their Ram 1500 model which was launched back in 2008 in order to make it better and more user friendly.
Consequently, for 2010, the 1500 has increased its towing capacity to 10,540 pounds, while its Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR) was boosted to 15,500 pounds (from 14,000 pounds), with the 140.5-inch wheelbase, 5.7-liter engine and 3.92 rear axle.
