I keep forgetting to post this: I’ve been using the back of my calves for a few weeks for boluses and it’s been a fantastic new site! I seem to be able to get away with short needles here no problem (in my belly etc short needles cause big lumps). Could probably skip this, but I do I tend to slightly raise the area in a half pinch, if I feel the muscle may be a little close.
I’m sure many out there do use calves, but it is new to me, and it’s turning out to be a great site, with dependable action.
