Papa Clem will be ridden by Tyler Baze and is trained by Gary Stute. The San Fernando is schedule for 1 1/16th miles and will be run on the Santa Anita synthetic main surface. Papa Clem will be making his second race off a layoff since racing a good third in the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes run at Santa Anita on opening day. He posted a nice 96 Beyer over this course in a race run at 7 furlongs. There isnยt much early speed in this race so I expect Papa Clem to get an easy lead on this field and will be able to hold it around these two turns. Papa Clem has put up the much better figures around two turns at distance in this field and will hit the wire first in the San Fernando.
Play #4 Papa Clem to win Race 7 at Santa Anita 3-1 on the Morning Line
