I went to see a dietician for the first time this week. That was interesting and helpful. Mostly helpful because she didn’t tell me things that go against my ideas and lifestyle. Just suggestions that I can live with in terms of my food.
Well, now I have a referral to a diabetic specialist who, I’m told, will help me with my insulin management. I don’t know what that means. I’m already on a plan from my doctor. My hubby gives me the injection (see other thread on needles about this) and I’m keeping track of what I take each night. I only do one injection at bedtime.
What should I expect? Is it really necessary? Could the advice conflict with the others? that would be really frustrating! Is there any other type of "specialist" I should be seeing?
