iPad Mania: Confessions of an Apple Luddite [Voices]

Tech-aficionados the world over (and some Juggle commenters) are abuzz over Apple’s iPad, a new tablet device that falls somewhere between a laptop and an iPhone.

It’s too early to know all the myriad Juggle-friendly uses the iPad may have (reading novels and magazines or watching videos on the commute, for one). But its sister product, the iPhone, has already proven to be a necessity in many busy families, providing apps that do everything from pacifying antsy children and keeping them entertained on long plane rides to calendar and organizing programs. Although I’m thankful that my husband’s iPhone can make all sorts of nifty animal sounds that keep my son amused in a pinch, I confess I haven’t yet succumbed to the lure of an iPhone, preferring the old-fashioned keypad of my trusty BlackBerry.
