The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for Southern California beaches this morning, with wave of up to 10 feet expected.
The waves will produced what forecasters called “dangerous swimming conditions,” though that is not expected to stop surfers from heading to the beach.
Partly cloudy skies are forecast for today, with sunny conditions expected Sunday. Both days will see highs in the upper 60s.
Beginning Tuesday, there is a 20% chance of rain — a forecast that extends through Thursday.
Last week, a surfer in Newport Beach was killed amid high waves. Officials are still trying to determine exactly how he died.
