Lisle’s human resources director, Patricia Cavalier, has resigned her post effective Jan. 29, Village Manager Jerry Sprecher said in a written statement.
Cavalier, 50, who also worked with the village’s Character Counts Coalition, was charged last week with misdemeanor retail theft after authorities said she tried to steal $140 worth of clothing and household items from a department store in Woodridge.
Cavalier held her village post since 2001.
