–A nine-year-old Chinese girl has reportedly given birth to a healthy 6lb baby boy via Caesarean section, becoming one of the world’s youngest mothers. Jesus, Mary and Joseph — I still played with dolls when I was nine. Five-year-old Lina Medina, of Peru, remains the youngest mother on record.
She gave birth to 6lb son Gerardo in 1939. Two other Peruvian girls are also on the books for being prepubescent mothers; a nine-year-old, in 1957, and an eight-year-old in 2006.
