Matthew Broderick has landed his own television sitcom.
The Ferris Bueller’s Day Off star is making the transition to the small screen in Beach Lane, a new comedy premiering on NBC next fall.
The father of three — who is married to actress Sarah Jessica Parker — will play celebrity author who is hired to revive a flagging small-town newspaper, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Broderick was approached for the role last year, but only agreed to star in the series after reading the final script.
