Anyways, a brief introduction to begin with. I am based out of Pune and love to travel (read Drive). last few months since we got a MMXylo, it’s been a sequence of 1day/2day outings to different places.
Ambitious that I am, we (total 3 adults+2 5yr olds) are planning for this trip from 20 feb to 28 Feb. Looked at the existing threads (and thanks to pjbiju, technocrat, ptushar, naren_gs1 and others) for suggestions and experiences. However it’s been over 3 months on those threads and I am wondering if there is an update to the road conditions?
I am leaning towards Pune-sangamner-NH3 to Indore. is that a good drive now ? Planning to return from bhopal using hoshangabad-khandwa-bhusawal-aurangabad-nagar-pune.
Mandsaur is a tier 3 city in MP and falls north of Ratlam on NH79. Feb last year when I travelled, NH79 was getting converted to 4 lanes with bridge work in progress. Any updates on that?
Mandsaur to Bhopal if anyone has suggestions much appreciated. Apparently its mostly State highway travel and I have absolutely no clue on the road condition now. It was fairly bad few years ago.
