On Monday, February 15 at 1:30pm, the Senate Judiciary Committee has scheduled a hearing for Senate Bill 1168, a much needed improvement over Arizonaâ??s current preemption statute.SB 1168 has been crafted to strengthen Arizonaâ??s preemption statute, specifically by removing unnecessarily burdensome restrictions on transportation and possession of firearms, increasing the protection from local towns and cities passing restrictive ordinances against carry or possession of firearms, and providing future protection for lawful storage of firearms, ammunition and ammunition components.
