Through service-learning and applied civic education, FL|CC VISTA members enable students to leverage human, financial, and material resources to increase the capacity of low-income communities across Florida. When VISTA members complete their year of service, they will have contributed to leaving behind lasting solutions to some of Florida’s toughest problems. Since 1965, more than 140,000 Americans served through VISTA. FL|CC VISTA members will work to fight illiteracy, improve health services, increase housing opportunities, bridge the digital divide, and strengthen the capacity of community organizations.
