Join an enthusiastic group of professionals at Shoreline Community College’s Center for Service-Learning (CSL) as a full-time Service-Learning Coordinator.
Work with faculty to:
- Offer professional development activities and workshops to assist faculty interested in developing service-learning opportunities for their students.
- Provide logistical support to faculty interested in developing service-learning projects and assignments
- Analyze and track student evaluations of service-learning and volunteer experiences.
Work with students to:
- Place students in service-learning projects in community based organizations and local schools
- Advise students in classes that offer service-learning opportunities
- Provide reflection opportunities for service-learning students through workshops and other activities
Work with the surrounding community to:
- Develop relationships with nonprofit groups and organizations who serve people in need.
- Facilitate and coordinate service-learning projects with local organizations.
- Track retention of service-learning students.
In addition, you will join a team of a state-wide team of AmeriCorps*VISTAs through Washington Campus Compact. WACC and its membership of 36 two and four-year colleges and universities are committed to providing meaningful experiences for students to become active, engaged leaders in their communities, furthering the civic and public purposes of higher education, and strengthening communities.
