“Steven Seagal: Lawman” Renewed For Second Season On A&E

Steven Seagal hit reality docudrama has been picked up for a second season on A&E. The network has ordered 16 additional episodes of Steven Seagal: Lawman after a record-breaking inaugural season that solidified the show’s title as the most watched freshman performance in A&E history. The show follows the ’90s action star in his role as a Louisiana law enforcement official. Seagal and his Sheriffs Department colleagues will be back to protect the people of New Orleans, but this time the production filmed during Mardi Gras, The Hollywood Reporter said on Friday.

“It presents some unique challenges to the police force and Seagal; there’s such a high volume of people you never quite know what you’re going to get,” said series executive producer Robert Sharenow. “The show is very straightforward when they’re intervening during crimes — there’s no nudging wink at the audience. Steven’s just got this funny, dry sense of humor.”
