Cubs tickets go on sale Friday morning

CHICAGO (WBBM) – Pitchers and catchers have reported to spring training in Arizona. You know what that means.

It’s time for tickets to go on sale for this year’s baseball season.

Today, it’s the Cubs turn. Cubs tickets go on sale at face value this morning at 8 a.m. at Wrigley Field.

Fans who buy tickets at the ballpark will see something they’re not used to: the team’s owners.

Members of the Ricketts family will be at Wrigley Field to greet fans as they wait in line before the box office opens.

Tickets go on sale at www.cubs.com at 10 a.m.

A virtual waiting room will be used for all Internet orders.  The virtual waiting room will begin accepting customers at 9:30 a.m. today.  At 10:00 a.m. customers will be randomly selected from the virtual waiting room to begin purchasing tickets.

Also beginning at 10 a.m., tickets can be purchased by telephone through Tickets.com. The Tickets.com phone number for Illinois callers is 800-The-Cubs (800-843-2827). The phone number for out-of-state callers is 866-652-2827.
