1. Those with Chronic Migraines Are Poorer, More Depressed

Sufferers of chronic migraines are less likely to have full-time jobs, tend to have lower household incomes and are more depressed than those who suffer from episodic migraines.

2. Upbeat People Less Likely to Have Heart Disease

Happy people are less likely to develop heart disease than are their less happy counterparts, according to a new Columbia University Medical Center study.

3. More Kids Have Chronic Illnesses

Half of all kids have had a chronic illness at some point in their lives, and 25 percent of children have a current chronic illness like obesity, asthma or a learning disability, according to a report in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
