2 hurt in Garfield Ridge crash

Two men were injured, one critically, Sunday night when their car crashed into a cement barrier in Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, police said.

A vehicle northbound on Cicero Avenue struck a cement barrier near 56th Street about 10:30 p.m., police said.

The driver and passenger both men in their 20s were taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The passenger was hospitalized in critical condition and the driver in serious condition.

The police Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
