Kirk Cameron Reaches Out To Missing “Growing Pains” Star Andrew Koenig

As the search for former Growing Pains star Andrew Koenig continues, his on screen bestie Kirk Cameron is speaking out about the missing actor.

Cameron, who played Mike Seaver on the popular ‘80s series, while Koenig played his best friend Richard “Boner” Stabone, says he is hopeful authorities will find Koenig, who was last seen over a week ago in Vancouver.

“I am very concerned to hear of the disappearance of my old friend Andrew Koenig,” Kirk said in a written statement issued Monday. “Although I have not had contact with him for many years, I can remember many of the fun times we had on the set of ‘Growing Pains.’ I am praying for his family during this time of distress and for his safe return.”

Kirk, a devoted sent this message directly to Andrew. “If you’re reading this, please call me. Mike and Boner could always work things out when they put their minds to it. I’m praying for you, pal. Hope to hear from you soon.”

Andrew, 41, went missing on Valentines Day in Vancouver, British Columbia. His dad Walter Koenig, who played Pavel Chekov on Star Trek, said Andrew suffered from depression and sent a “despondent” letter that arrived Feb. 16.

Constable Tim Fanning told RadarOnline that there has been activity on Koenig’s ATM card since his disappearance and the Canadian Police believe the actor is still alive.

Anyone with information on Koenig’s whereabouts should call the Vancouver police at 604-717-2534.
