According to the latest Compete report, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, YouTube and MSN were the top 5 sites in the month of January 2010.
Overall in the top 20 sites for January 2010, msn.com was the biggest gainer with 10.51% MoM (Month over Month) increase, followed by monster.com, craigslist.org and youtube.com. The biggest loser in Jan 2010 was ebay.com which lost 18.70% traffic, followed by AOL.com which lost 11.94%.
Google gained 0.77%, however, Facebook was one up on them by gaining 1.13%. Out of the top 5 only yahoo.com showed a negative traffic climb losing over 1%. Google still had a slight upper edge over Facebook with 1.47 billion unique visitors. However, Facebook is still denting and making inroads into Google traffic with over 1.3 billion unique visits in January 2010. Bing is also making a splash by being ranked 11th with over 54 million visits in January 2010.
