With 25 laps left before the end of the race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and despite having to battle slow stops on pit road and countless tire strategies thrown in the game by competition, Richard Childress Racing driver Kevin Harvick managed to pass Denny Hamlin for the lead, beating him in the end by 1.361 seconds.
The first victory of the Nationwide season for the team and the 35th-career Nationwide Series victory for Harvick came after a rain delay at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
