EVO Electric Powers the Lotus Evora 414E Hybrid

The first demonstration of a hybrid vehicle coming from Lotus is these days on display at the Geneva Auto Show, showcasing at the same time the Axial Flux motor/generator technology manufactured by British company EVO Electric.

Each of the two EVO drive motors develop 207 ps (hence the 414E name given to the Evora) and 400 Nm (295 lbft) of torque. They are back by a 1.2l three-cylinder engine acting a range extender.
