Assignment: Scribble out every fleeting thought of worry, anger, fear, shame, self-pity. Ask for comfort, insight, strength, courage. When you’re done writing, re- read your letter and then reply to yourself. Pretend you are the offending individual or a higher power from whom you are seeking relief and solace. What might they say to you to make you feel better? Say it to yourself NOW.
