With the RT Strobe 5000, Rheintacho is extending its range of stationary stroboscopes. The main differences between this device and the RT Strobe 3000 that has been on the market for 12 months now are the significantly increased flash energy and an optimal combination of flash tube and reflector for an illumination range of 500mm x 250mm.
This means that Rheintacho is now offering the RT Strobe 3000 for web-widths up to 350mm and the RT Strobe 5000 for web-widths up to 500mm. Wider inspection areas can be achieved by using a combination of several of these stroboscopes and synchronising them with one control unit.
The RT Strobe 5000 has impressive technical data:
– illuminance 1500 lux @ 6000 FPM @ 30cm
– flash energy 3000mJ @ 1000 FPM
– flash duration < 20µs
- flash frequency 30–12500 flashes per minute (FPM)
- optimised for low flash frequency (3000mJ @ 1000 FPM)
- illuminance can be adjusted manually on the device itself
One particularly significant feature of the RT Strobe 5000 is its uniformly-lit illumination surface (centrally 500x250mm). The light is provided by a XENON linear tube. The very short flash duration, below 20µs, delivers extremely focused and detailed images. The device's sturdy aluminium housing has various mounting threads on its base. Optional extras include tripods, stable pivoting supports and a wide selection of optical sensors. Two sockets are located on the back of the device for the power supply and control signals.
Largely identical to the RT Strobe 3000, the RT Strobe 5000 is very easy to operate. The device is controlled either directly via the system that is being observed or with the "RT Strobe control" or the "RT Strobe ECO control" control units. It is possible to control the illuminance even for the standard version of the RT Strobe 5000.
