“The Real World: San Francisco” Puck Injured In Car Accident With Son

An MTV reality star from the early 1990s has been hospitalized in San Diego after the vehicle he was traveling in flipped over on California’s Route 79 late Friday.

The Real World: San Francisco star Puck – whose real name is David Rainey – and his son were severely injured in a crash last week, TMZ.com reported Wednesday. Puck and his 8-year-old son were returning home from a fishing trip when Puck swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control of the car.

Puck — who appeared on 1994’s edition of The Real World — was reportedly trapped in the car, but was able to free his young son, who then flagged down help, the site said.

Puck suffered broken bones in both feet, his right hand, and his neck. He’ll remain in the hospital for another week or so as doctors treat his damaged his clavicle and sternum. Puck’s son reportedly suffered damage to his liver and bruised several internal organs in the accident. He is expected to be okay.
