The success of the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch is due in part to their ability to run custom applications, or as they’re commonly called, “apps.” The variety of these apps seems limitless—from, let’s say, helping you calculate how much to tip in Seoul to illuminating a dark room. As you might expect, there are a bunch of car-themed apps, many of them horrid. Herewith, a few rays of excellence, but be advised that the iPod Touch lacks a GPS antenna, so not all of the apps will work on it. (All of these are available through the iTunes store.)
