Is there a feud brewing between American Idol’s Simon Cowell and Dancing With The Stars judge Len Goodman?
Cowell attracted headlines this week after he threw a subliminal diss at the “old-fashioned” ABC reality dance competition while critiquing a contestant’s performance on Tuesday’s show.
On this week’s Idol, Top 10 finalist Didi Benami performed a disatrous rendition of “What Becomes Of The Broken Hearted,” a performance which ultimately got the aspiring star sent home, but not before Simon slammed her and Dancing With The Stars.
“If you listen to one of those dancing shows, they always have a singer murdering a song on it,” Simon retorted. “That’s what it kind of — if you’ve ever watch it – that’s what it kind of sounded [like].”
Goodman — who is an Idol fan — didn’t appreciate the slam and sounded off on Simon’s remarks in an interview with Access Hollywood on Thursday.
“He’s bitter. Honestly, he’s bitter. Simon Cowell is bitter,” Len told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush. “As far as I’m concerned, those singers are genius. When you watch what they have to go through – hip-hop, light operatic, anything thrown at them, they’re brilliant. I love that band and I love those singers and I didn’t mind Simon Cowell until this point.”
