The Hecus S3-MICROpix® and S3-MICROpixDF systems offer the possibility of Beam Stop Free SAXS/GISAXS. The integration of the semiconductor pixel-detectors Pilatus and Mythen, respectively, for 2-D and 1-D detection allows to measure the scattering in the immediate vicinity of the primary beam directly, without attenuation of the primary beam. This opens new experimental approaches in thin-film nanoanalytics, even surpassing synchrotron facilities.
