The Prince of Persia star, Jake Gyllenhaal, stated during an interview that he believes in “the one”. “The one” that he is referring to is his soul mate.
During his interview, Jake stated that he believes in carnation and reincarnation. He believes that it’s sometimes a daily thing, a weekly thing, where we reincarnate and become different people and change in our days, in our weeks, in our years. Jake further said “…I mean I’m not the same person I was even when we made this movie (Prince of Persia)”. He further stated “I do believe in soul mates and I think that destiny has something to do with that, yeah,”
A soul mate is the one destined for each one of us. Many people believe that there is some one out there that is for us. Jake is one of these people. He seems to hope that there is someone out there who is waiting for him. He collaborates this with destiny, where in he feels that every thing that he is encountering was meant for him.
However, today, many people doubt about it because of repeated love problems. They keep on waiting about their so called soul mate until they become tired of it. But do you know that there is a myth about soul mates? It was presented by Aristophanes in Plato’s symposium. It was stated there that humans originally consisted of four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces, but Zeus feared their power and split them all in half, condemning them to spend their lives searching for the other half to complete them.
If myths were true, will you search for your soul mate or wait for them as they were destined for you? This is what Jake Gyllenhaal believes in and maybe he is searching right now for his “the one”.
