As some of you know, I’ve been battling a menacing/nasty/sleep depriving/BG spiking/open wound creating/unbearably itchy, skin condition.Having been under the care of a thoughtful & thorough Dermatologist for the last month and a half (with little or no relief despite high doses of Prednisone (40mg pd) along with a strong topical and a constant string of Cephlexin (sp?) for the accompanying staph infections, I’ve taken to trying to research this for myself and came across this very interesting article.
If any of you suffer from something similair, you might be interested in this (I’ll discuss this with him when I see him next week)…

Need Help with Insulin Dilema
Thanks in advance for your help. I’ve got to go on another 7 day round of steroids (non-tapering). I was on for 7 days, have had 6 days off. While taking them my BG runs 150-180 which is 80 to 100 points higher than normal.Is it worth it to request Insulin for this next round or should I just sit tight?

Shortest Day, Longest Night
Well here it is again, the winter solstice. Here in the northern hemisphere we have our longest night and our shortest day.It got me to wondering, how many hours of daylight will you have today? Here in Washington state it’s about 8 hours. 🙁
Come summer solstice we’ll have @ 18 hours of daylight. 😀 -

Urgent: VISA Hacked Again!
We’re off to the bank to fill out a fraud affidavit. Someone hacked our VISA Debit and wiped out our checking account, we traced it to a Hong Kong website. This was done on my husband’s card which was issued a new after the last incidents a few months ago (nothing was taken then, his card was identified as one that had been hijacked).It wasn’t much money, just all we had to live on till month’s end. ARRRRGGGHHHH, not the Christmas present I was hoping for. 😡

Oral Lesions OUCH
O.K., so I’m n mega-steroids (1st dose 24 hours ago) and antibiotics (2 week regimine began 1 week ago) and suddenly tonight I’ve broken out in cold sores all over mouth and tongue and down throat, yikes, is this a new pain in the **** I wasn’t expecting. Can I do anything about this? -
