    Project: CarT
    Flashback:
I saw a legend ModelT on this biography on history channel, and i was hooked immediately with the simplicity and the ease with which all the technicality of a combustion engine was brought in the life of a common individual.
    Now:
I am trying to begin with the process of building a car which will be a 2 seater, minimal luggage.
City:tourer :: 60:40. i.e. A capable engine enough to do the work, and keep some more juice, fairly FE, and very simple.
The focus here is more on the simplicity n ease of the machine, and good FE just trails with the view.

Wrt size, I am thinking between m800 and a cruiser bike.
    Wheels: 3/4 ?
Engine: out of some current bike with FE and power balance.

    [/b]My current priorities:[/b]
Chart the combinations of the above factors.
Get indepth information and exposure to concepts encircling my project.
Feeds/views/criticism from my tbhp fellow_mates, gurus, mods, support are invited
Finance requirement estimation for options in consideration.
Finance arrangement. /that part I will take care /
Custom fabricators. /searching tbhp and more for that currently/

    After:
    Finalize with specs and internals.
    Chassis design/adapt
    Sketch body.
Work detail budget and schedule the production date 🙂

I will try to follow the decision sequence as given.
But please feel free to suggest/append the sequence, or enlighten on some untouched aspects.

    Care,

    Ace.

  • Need to reduce bulbous shape of headlights.

I feel like, I need a reduction of the "bulbous" shape of the headlights of i10..
    wonder if thats possible!
well thats one of the reasons why i wouldnt go for Beat!
if anyone agrees, from a certain angle, you can see the body curve and headlight-curve like 2 separate entities!!
i want to integrate both the curves into a smooth continuous curve..
    can do?

    care.

  • in the fuel tank

I am having this idea of a fuel tank, which I think will add to FE of all vehicles.

Fact: A standing car- Fuel loaded, continuously looses its fuel owing to vaporisation property of the fuel.
Idea: Lets not allow that! 😀

    Method:
I suggest we have a expandible Poly-Ethylene (high grade Plastic) forming a baloon like structure inside our fuel tank, the sack-type-balloon will inflate enough to allow a full tank fuel volume, and deflate with fuel-depletion (fairly elastic, I mean to say)
    The balloon sack will have

vent– (for venting/only at filling time),
filling end ( for fuel in )
discharge end (fuel out of fuel tank- to fuel pump/carb)

The tendency of the balloon will be to empty its contents, hence keeping the fuel under slight positive pressure at all times.

The tank can still be stock!

I am making some drawing of the same. (simplified)

    Care.
