  • Lexus CT 200h Dark Ride Short Film

It was only about a decade ago that BMW let Clive Owen do odd driving jobs as “The Hire” in their action/drama short films. Remembering them now makes one feel nostalgic about how well done they were and their impact as an online promotional vehicle. This was of course during the days with no YouTube and social networking sites. Now Lexus is jumping on the game with Norman Reedus of Boondock Saints fame as the driver of the Lexus CT 200h Hybrid in a 12 minute short film called “Dark Ride.” The plot: to drive the car through the Nevada/California desert while avoiding some suspect individuals wanting the ride in their possession. This time around however, you make the call as “the customer” by advising Tony (Norman Reedus) what to do next. Sounds pretty exciting. The Lexus CT 200h goes on sale in the U.S. market early next year (2011).
