  • Kirk Releases Taxes

    U.S. Rep Mark Kirk (R-IL) today announced that he released his 2009 taxes on Friday and urges his challenger in this falls Senate election, Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias (D) to do the same.

    Television, radio host and author Tavis Smiley hosted a conversation in what he is calling this a “post-racial” era asking the question, “Is there a need for a Black Agenda?”

    The program titled “WE COUNT, The BLACK AGENDA is the AMERICAN Agenda” was held on March 20, 2010 at Chicago State University.  Below are excerpts from the event featuring Cornel West and Louis Farrakhan.
