    and what the story doesn’t mention is that that the victim sustained his head injuries after being assaulted by a police officer, and the victim was then operated on by surgeons despite the objections of his next of kin, and those of his family, in order to stop him from dying. the result, he was permanently brain damaged and required 24/7 medical attention for the rest of his life.

    well here it is. the european court has decided that the stopping under section 44 and search people, which of course is what’s being used to harass photographers is illegal, because the police can stop anyone for anything. there are seemingly no limitations on their powers :banana:

  • money you waste, and how to stop

    ok, so i’m pretty bad with actual cash (as opposed to investing money). i withdraw say £300 from the bank, stick it in my wallet, but then what’s left over the next day after restaurant and drinks and so on stays in my wallet and then get’s frittered away on takeaways. i worked out i spent about £1,000 last year on takeaways and junk food.

    incredibly wasteful i know. anyway i got a piggy bank (yes seriously) and have started putting the spare ten and twenty quid notes in it along with one and two pound coins. it’s only the start of the second week of january, opened it yesterday and found it already has £20 in it. meanwhile, the takeaways i would have bought i haven’t 🙂

    just when you think things can’t get any more stupid it seems the government in its desire to ban illegally owned weapons has drafter the law rather badly…
