Is it a bad time to check my A1C?
Gained 10 pounds during the holidays, going to check my A1C for the first time soon.. I’ve learned that the A1c gives you a 90 day outlook of your BG.. Well the last 90 days I’ve been eating a lot, gaining weight, eating a lot of sugars too..So with this being said, will my reading be abnormally high cause of my recent bad diet or does it not matter? Who knows maybe its good timing to check it when I’ve been bad..
Any thoughts?

What diabetic symptons did you have before being diagnosed?
What diabetec symptons did you have before being diagnosed?I’ve been reading articles and so forth but I prefer to hear this from people who actually have diabetes..
I find it interesting that diabetics get different inital symptoms..
I have two friends who have type 2 diabetes (well controlled with pretty much no setbacks so far) and I asked them what were their first symptoms.. As you will see they had much difference inital experiences..
Friend #1: Told me she was peeing a lot even though she wasn’t drinking water, large volumes of urine.. Lost weight even though she was hungry and eating a lot. Never felt tired
Friend #2: Told me she was extremely fatigued, but other than that no symptoms..
Neither mentioned excessive thirst to me, and I’ve read that excessive thirst is a major symptom, so why didn’t they get really thirsty??
So with all this being said, what were your intial symptoms?

Does being on a diet affect fasting blood glucose level?
Had a full panel blood test about 8 months ago… At the time I was on a strict diet for about a month..Everything came back normal, my liver #’s were slightly higher than normal and my good cholestorol was 39 but everything else was good..
My fasting glucose was 79 and urine glucose was normal.. My question is, did my diet affect my glucose score?
I’m starting to wonder if my strict diet affected my score??
Thanks in advance..
