The government block is getting a new addition with 440 office workspaces, it allows the ministry of environment to move to the same location as most other ministries. Total size of project is 21.500 squaremeters – will cost 900 million NOK, and completion is stipulated for the beginning of 2012. Developper is Statsbygg and main architects is BA Arkitekter. The building is allowed upto this height due to it’s nabours and also to allow to fit in a square. It’s withinn the Ring1 highrise zone that normally allows buildings upto 42 meters.
