  • A Few Updates

  • Mud, Mambas and Mushrooms

    I was able to transport my blog over to WordPress.com, which you will find at http://mudmambas.wordpress.com. I decided to not point the feed from my old site to there for a couple of reasons. One, I’m afraid my hapless subscribers will get fresh copies of the last bazillion entries. Two, I want to make sure they subscribe to the new feed so when eventually the old one really expires, they won’t miss any of my important updates on what the baby burped up. So go on over and get yer new RSS feed. 

  • Back in Business

    After several hours spanning several days, massive headaches, and a final cry for help to the right ears, KurtisScaletta.com is now open for business here at "new dot," with the most important content moved over. If you are a subscriber, you may just now be learning about all this because it’s just now I’ve been able to redirect the RSS feed from my old site to here. My site, blog, and various extras were all damaged and/or suspect after my entire hosting service got raided. Hundreds of sites were affected, some representing the actual business and sole employment for their owners, so I have to take this in stride. I do wonder sometimes why we bother. Say what you will about the pre-Internet, hackers were just guys with bad smoking coughs and couldn’t make your life that miserable.


    I may restore the blog in time, but I’ll see how this goes for a while… I will not be blogging, just making announcements related to my work. I am in need of a lighter web presence just now, anyway.  

  • Welcome to my new website

    I’ve set up HQ here while the old site gets fumigated. My deep apologies to anyone who tried to find me and either had something terrible installed on their computers, or were warned that I was going to install malware on your computer. I’d do no such thing, but my hosting service left the back door open and all kinds of vermin scurried in. I hope they get it fixed soon. In the meantime, I’ll keep this place fresh with announcements related to my work and events where I’ll be appearing. I’m also in the process of moving over the "Extras" for Mudville and Mamba Point. 


    Who knows, though? Maybe I’ll like this new miniature site, "just the facts, ma’am" approach and move here for good. For the record, I have backed up all of my content from the old place; it may not be available here, but if you’re dying to read some old blog entry, let me know. I’ll try to dig it up for you.
