Dublin’s metro is under construction so in the meantime streets are very full.

using google earth i measured Dublins city centre (from left to right and from top to bottom) and it measured roughly 5.7 km x 4.8 km. after that you get into more residential areas and housing estates so measure your cities city centres (edge of city centre)

hi guys, was in college a few weeks ago in a class called urban and regional economics and our lecture shocked us by showing the growing stats of Dublin city, it seems to be on every newspaper artical and tv that by 2020 it will be the size of Los Angeles with only a quarter of the population (2.1 million),should its growth continue, currently is the fastst growing city in europe, has the worst urban sprawl in europe and is growing nearly 4 times that of amsterdam, a city roughly the same size as dublin.

So i was thinking..whats the largest in europe by area> is there much of a difference between the bigger cities?
