  • Gunfire kills three in Lawndale, according to authorities

    Los Angeles County sheriff’s detectives are investigating the deaths of three people in Lawndale who apparently suffered fatal gunshot wounds.

    The incident occurred about 2:20 p.m. when residents in the 14600 block of Larch Avenue reported hearing gunshots. Authorities arrived at a town house and found three dead bodies inside — that of two men and one woman.

    Authorities released no further details.

  • Man and woman found dead in West Hollywood [Updated]

    Los Angeles County sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were discovered this morning in West Hollywood.

    [Updated 9:30 p.m.: Authorities are now reporting that it was two women who were found dead at a West Hollywood residence today. Authorities said one died of an apparent suicide and the other under “suspicious” circumstances. A maintenance worker reported a gas leak at the location.]

    Sgt. Diane Hecht said homicide detectives responded to the deaths in the 1100 block of North Fuller Avenue about 10:30 a.m. Authorities have yet to identify the deceased or reveal how they died.
