  • Moema, in the heart of São Paulo

    I present you the district of Moema, located just south of São Paulo’s central region, since the 1970’s it has become the middle and upper-middle class’ favorite area in the city, it is a pedestrian-friendly district, its streets are regularly laid out (checkered, or grid-patterned).

    It is between Paulista Avenue, the city’s financial center, and the domestic flight airport, as well as near the city’s best park, Ibirapuera – in other words, the place to live if you want quality of life.

  • O Monotrilho de Chongqing, China

    Uma ressurreição de thread no internacional trouxe minha atenção ao sistema de monotrilhos sendo implantado na cidade de Chongqing /tchóntxíng/ na China, especialmennte agora que São Paulo resolveu embarcar nessa tecnologia.

    Na cidade existe uma linha de 19,7 km em funcionamento (com 18 estações) inaugurada em 2005 e mais 2 linhas estão em implantação. Segundo o thread original, 100.000 entradas são registradas por dia no sistema.

    Parace quase idêntico ao monotrilho de Tóquio, exceto que seu traçado é acidentado e existem túneis. Foi construído pelos japoneses.

    O diferencial é que a cidade de Chongqing construirá sua rede de metrô inteira apenas com monotrilhos, sem trens convencionais.

    A cidade de Chongqing conta com 5 milhões de habitantes e é a 20a. maior cidade da China. O sistema atualmente transporta
