  • Monster Jam in Houston,2010.

I had the opportunity to go see the Monster Jam show in Houston 2 weekends ago.I had seen a bit of it earlier, but never really looking into getting tickets to see the show live at the Reliant Stadium.Courtesy my wife, managed to experience what these huge trucks are capable of!

    There were many rounds:
    1) The very first one is a competition between two racers. The trucks are parked on opposite ends of the ground, and when the lights turn green, each driver is allowed to complete 1/2 a circle around the ground and the person who crosses the 1/2 mark line wins first.Basically, each person gets to pick up speed and then after the final launch into the air, lands across the white line that indicates the exact 1/2 of the round path.

    2) Next was a pretty funny race.Folks in battered cars race while having trailers attached to the cars/SUVs. They can ram into each other and push others out of the way.Kinda hilarious, to watch those jokers rip each others cars apart!

    3) The main event of the evening, each contestant is given 90 secs to do all kinda of stunts and display acrobatics while driving their trucks around.
The amount of torque these trucks have is INSANE!!

I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

  • Honda’s turn for recalls!

Honda Motor Co. is adding 437,000 vehicles to its 15-month-old global recall for faulty air bags in the latest quality problem to hit a Japanese automaker.
The company will replace the driver’s side air bag inflator in the cars because they can deploy with too much pressure, causing the inflator to rupture and injure or kill the driver.:Shockked::Shockked:

  • Superb parking system!

Got this in the mail today. Supposed to be implemented in Madrid (or will be in the near future).
Things like this would be a boon for India, where parking space is always at a premium.
