  • Garlic Extract

    Specificaton:1%Allicin, 2%-5%Alliin
Garlic (Allium sativa), is a plant with long, flat grasslike leaves and a papery hood around the flowers. The stalk rises directly from the flower bulb, which is the part of the plant used as food and medicine. The bulb is made up of many smaller bulbs covered with a papery skin known as cloves.
The most active components of fresh garlic are an amino acid called alliin and an enzyme called allinase. When a clove of garlic is chewed, chopped, bruised, or cut, these compounds mix to form allicin, which is responsible for garlic’s strong smell. Allicin, in turn, breaks down into other sulfur compounds within a few hours.
Garlic also contains a wide range of trace minerals. These include copper, iron, zinc, magnesium, germanium, and selenium. In addition, garlic contains many sulfur compounds, vitamins A and C, and various amino acids.
The ancient Chinese, Indians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and other peoples have used garlic for thousands of years, as food and as medicine. Garlic can be used in the treatment of a variety of bacterial, viral, and fungal infections. It has been shown to be effective against staph, strep, E. coli, Salmonella, Vibrio cholera, H. pylori, Candida albicans, and other microorganisms. • Soybean Isoflavones

Soybean isoflavones are phytoestrogens found in soybeans. Phytoestrogens are plant-derived nonsteroidal compounds that possess estrogen-like biological activity. The hypothesis that soybean isoflavones may help relieve menopausal symptoms (such as hot flashes, emotional disturbances and compromised sexual activity) has been confirmed by recent scientific studies. Furthermore, soybean isoflavones significantly decrease the rates of breast cancer, which is thought to be relevant to their effects as phytoestrogens. Studies also point out that high consumption of soy isoflavones in the diet are implicated in inhibiting the growth of prostate cancer cells, those who eat a low-fat diet, but rich in soy proteins, have a lower incidence of prostate cancer.

  • Acerola Cherry Extract Natural Vc

    Acerola
    Latin Name: Malpighia glabra
Acerola is a small tree that grows in dry areas of the Caribbean and Central and South America. Traditionally, its fruit has been used to treat diarrhea, arthritis, fevers, and kidney, heart, and liver problems. Acerola contains 10–50 times more vitamin C by weight than oranges. Other important substances found in acerola include bioflavonoids , magnesium , pantothenic acid , and vitamin A .
What is Acerola Used for Today?
Acerola is primarily marketed as a source of vitamin C and bioflavonoids. Because of these constituents, it has substantial antioxidant properties. 1 One study found that acerola significantly increased the antioxidant activity of soy and alfalfa . 2 It is not clear, however, that this rather theoretical finding indicates anything of significance to human health. Other powerful antioxidants such as vitamin E and beta-carotene have proved disappointing when they were subjected to studies that could discern whether their actions as antioxidants translated into actual health benefits.
Like many plants, acerola has antibacterial and antifungal properties, at least in the test tube. 3,4 However, no studies in humans have been reported.
    Principal Proposed Uses
    • Source of Vitamin C
    Other Proposed Uses
    • Antioxidant
    Dosage
A typical supplemental dosage of acerola is 40–100 mg daily.
    Safety Issues
As a widely used food, acerola is believed to have a relatively high safety factor. However, it has been discovered that people who are allergic to latex may be allergic to acerola as well. 5
Maximum safe doses in young children, pregnant or nursing women, and people with severe liver or kidney disease have not been established.

  • Tomato Extract Lycopene

Lycopene, a carotenoid abundant in tomato, is recognized as a powerful antioxidant with antioxidability 3 times as effective as β -carotene and 100 times as vitamin E. Through avoiding the risk of oxidation on body cells, it could help prevent prostate cancer and some other forms of cancer such as stomach cancer and skin cancer.
Lycopene product is extracted form non-polluted quality tomatoes using advanced production process. lt is powder of antioxidation processed by the international up-to-date microcapsule embedding technology, possessing the properties of stable content and long validity. Varieties of specifications is available.
    Functions
Lycopene is a fat-soluble antioxidant that scavenges free radicals. [1] Free radicals are molecules that possess a single electron; stable molecules contain pairs of electrons. Free radicals move around inside the cell and bump into other cells in order to gain the electron they need to become stable. This “bumping” into other cells causes damage called oxidation. Oxidation is associated with a number of chronic diseases and is harmful to DNA.
Antioxidants block the oxidation of molecules in the cells. Of all the antioxidants, which include vitamins A, C, and E, lycopene has shown the highest physical quenching rate of the free radical-producing singlet oxygen, nearly twice as high as [beta]-carotene’s rate.
Lycopene has what is known as the all-trans configuration in fresh tomatoes. Applying heat to tomatoes causes isomerization of the all-trans configuration to a form called cis-trans. Cis-trans isomers, which are more bioavailable than all-trans isomers, increase with temperature and processing time. As a result, processed tomato products have higher levels of lycopene and lycopene bioavailability than fresh tomatoes.

It can be used for cough due to the lung-heat, abnormal rising of the qi, rapid respiration, stomach heat, dysphoria with thirst.
Loquat is an evergreen tree with delicate, edible, pear-shaped fruits native to southeastern China, but is widely cultivated. The long, elliptical-shaped leaves have a history of use in traditional Chinese medicine. The corosolic acid extracted from loquat leaves potentiates glucose transport and uptake, which lowers blood glucose and decreases the need for insulin secretion. Insulin resistance affects millions of adult Americans. Long-term elevation of blood sugar creates a high risk for developing diabetes, and is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. This plant material provides product developers with an excellent opportunity to incorporate it into an effective blood glucose metabolism formula. Corosolic acid is a natural medicine that plays a favorable role in maintaining healthy blood glucose levels, thereby decreasing the risk of long-term complications associated with insulin resistance.

  • Ginkgo leaf extract

    Introduction
Common Names–ginkgo, ginkgo biloba, fossil tree, maidenhair tree, Japanese silver apricot, baiguo, bai guo ye, kew tree, yinhsing (yin-hsing)
    Latin Name–Ginkgo biloba
    What It Is Used For
Ginkgo seeds have been used in traditional Chinese medicine whole medical system that originated in China. It is based on the concept that disease results from disruption in the flow of qi and imbalance in the forces of yin and yang. Practices such as herbs, meditation, massage, and acupuncture seek to aid healing by restoring the yin-yang balance and the flow of qi. for thousands of years, and cooked seeds are occasionally eaten. More recently, ginkgo leaf extract has been used to treat a variety of ailments and conditions, including asthma, bronchitis, fatigue, and tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Today, people use ginkgo leaf extracts hoping to improve memory; to treat or help prevent Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia; to decrease intermittent claudication (leg pain caused by narrowing arteries); and to treat sexual dysfunction, multiple sclerosis, tinnitus, and other health conditions.
    How It Is Used
Extracts are usually taken from the ginkgo leaf and are used to make tablets, capsules, or teas. Occasionally, ginkgo extracts are used in skin products.
    What the Science Says
Numerous studies of ginkgo have been done for a variety of conditions. Some promising results have been seen for Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, intermittent claudication, and tinnitus among others, but larger, well-designed research studies are needed.
Some smaller studies for memory enhancement have had promising results, but a trial sponsored by the National Institute on Aging of more than 200 healthy adults over age 60 found that ginkgo taken for 6 weeks did not improve memory.

NCCAM is conducting a large clinical trial of ginkgo with more than 3,000 volunteers. The aim is to see if the herb prevents the onset of dementia and, specifically, Alzheimer’s disease; slows cognitive decline and functional disability (for example, inability to prepare meals); reduces the incidence of cardiovascular disease; and decreases the rate of premature death.
Ginkgo is also being studied by NCCAM for asthma, symptoms of multiple sclerosis, vascular function (intermittent claudication), cognitive decline, sexual dysfunction due to antidepressants, and insulin resistance. NCCAM is also looking at potential interactions between ginkgo and prescription drugs.

  • Conjugated linoleic acid

CLA is a fatty acid found in beef and dairy fats. Scientific interest in CLA was stimulated in 1988 when a University of Wisconsin researcher discovered its antioxidant properties in a study of rats fed fried hamburger. CLA cannot be produced by the human body, but it can be obtained through foods such as whole milk, butter, beef, and lamb.
CLA may be one of the most potent antioxidant substances in our diet.
In a preliminary study, CLA has also been shown to reduce body fat in people who are overweight.
CLA may be beneficial in other aspects, including prevention of breast and colon cancer.
Additional potential benefits include a reduction in food-induced allergic reactions, as well as the overall enhancement of the immune system

  • Banaba leaf extract Corosolic acid

    Latin Name: Lagerstroemia Speciosa
    specifications: Corosolic acid: 1%, 3%, 5%,10%, 20%
    Function:
    Water soluble extract for beverage.
    • Balances blood sugar
    • Regulates insulin levels
    • Supports healthy weight loss
Banaba (Lagerstroemia Speciosa) is a botanical extract that comes from the leaves of the banaba tree. In Southeast Asia and the Philippines, the leaves are traditionally used as an herbal medicine to treat diabetes and hyperglycemia (elevated blood sugar) and Banaba has also been traditionally used to aid in cleansing the liver in the Philippines.
Corosolic acid, a triterpenoid found in the leaves, helps regulate blood sugar by stimulating glucose uptake. This blood sugar lowering effect is similar to that of insulin – which induces glucose transport from the blood into body cells. In a study of humans with type-2 diabetes, banaba extract showed a 30% reduction in blood glucose levels. It is considered a natural plant insulin, can be taken orally, and has no side effects, according to Japanese research. Corsolic acid also appears to have strong antioxidant properties.
Because of its ability to assist in regulating blood sugar, it can be very useful in losing weight. Because of the way Banaba helps the body to handle glucose (glucose transport activator), it is a ingredient found in many weight-loss products. Supplementwatch.com says: “An interesting ‘side-effect’ of tighter control of blood sugar and insulin levels is a significant tendency of Banaba to promote weight loss (an average of 2-4 lbs. per month) without significant dietary alterations. It is likely that modulation of glucose and insulin levels reduces total caloric intake somewhat and encourages moderate weight loss.” In Japan, Banaba tea has become quite popular and is known as “slimming tea.” In the US, many weight-loss formulas are now using Banaba as a safe, natural component for reducing weight.
However, more recent studies have shown that the entire herb is useful in lowering blood sugar, and that corosolic acid is probably not the only active ingredient in Banaba leaves. A study published in 2001 by Edison Biotechnology Institute, Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Athens, Ohio compared a whole leaf extract of Banaba with insulin in cell cultures. They concluded that the whole herb had a glucose lowering effect and could be used to fight diabetes and obesity. A study reported in the Feb. 2002 volume of Planta Med stated that corosolic acid alone could not account for the glucose transport effect of Banaba extracts, and identified at least three active components: lagerstroemin, flosin B and reginin A. These natural phytochemicals regulate glucose uptake, and could be responsible for lowering blood glucose levels and weight loss.
Our banaba extract is produced with a know-how technology, which keeps all the natural ingredients in it, with the corosolic acid as a marker ingredient.
