  • Crazy hours

Start back at my regular job next week….i was on light duty and was working 9-5 for 3 months
My hours starting next week are all over the place…we can start at 4:30 am on Monday….noon on Tuesday and 9 am on Wednesday…
Hoping I am going to be able to keep up the work I have been doing testing and diet wise…
With this job morning can be 4 am one day and 1 pm 2 days later…
Hey I also have a question which may should be on another thread..or maybe I should have entitled this one…Ramblings and Musings…I went to do my 2hr PP test the other day and w/o thinking had eaten an orange about 5 mins before i tested….my reading was 166…..is that normal…or would a non-diabetics sugar not have gone that high from just eating a fruit?
….anyhow…I am like 12 days in and have lost a few pounds…
and have to admit i feel a bit less tired….
  • Newly Diagnosed

Hello all. Was diagnosed on Monday. The last few days have been a rollercoaster ride of fear and depression..to be honest I walked out of the doctor’s office terrified.
Surfed the net that evening which surely didn’t help….for while there is useful information out there one has to sift through a lot of ‘stuff’…not the first word that came to mind….to find good info. At one point Wednesday afternoon I was nearly convinced that I had brought this upon myself through overuse of diet soda and a lack of faith…as I said..there’s a lot of ‘stuff’ out there.
In reality it’s been a long time a coming and I know it has to do with my age, obesity, considering a large pizza and a pint of Ben and Jerry’s a normal dinner and sitting 6 hours at my computer keyboard a form of exercise. If playing World of Warcraft was exercise I’d have the body of an Olympian athlete…
Oh my….I can be wordy…..am glad this forum is here…think for now I will stop….
