In case you haven’t heard, Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner are totally an item these days.
Kind of an odd couple, wouldn’t you say? I am not impressed with either one of them to tell you the truth. Brody is only “famous” because of his dad. He’s basically Paris Hilton with a dick. I still throw up in my mouth when I think about his reality show, “Bromance.” Is there a more annoying word?
Comedian Andrew Dice Clay married Valerie Vasquez on February 14th, yes, Valetines Day in Las Vegas.
We are hearing that Valerie Vasquez is a makeup artist, but girlfriend is also a porn star! Do a little digging around and you’ll see. I’m not talking about a couple pornos either, at IMDB there are 40 skin flicks mentioned! Cracks me up that all the news stories about these two getting married mention her as a makeup artist. Uh-huh…
Valerie is Andrew Dice Clay’s third wife.
Dice was recently on the George Lopez Show and spoke of his new bride: “I don’t know when we got engaged, all I know is Valentine’s Day, ‘I do,’ and then we did, and that’s that. She is unbelievable. She is the sweetest, most lovable, happy girl I’ve ever been with.”
I am wondering if Jessica Simpson got a new puppy…?
As you know, Jessica’s last dog, Daisy, was killed by wild coyotes. In these pics, snapped yesterday in New York, one of Jessica’s entourage has a pup, which looks a lot like Daisy. When I first saw these pics I thought it may have been Jessica’s new puppy…but I have since changed my mind. I think Jessica would have tweeted about the pup if it had been hers, and alas, I see no puppy tweets.
Hopefully she finds a new munchkin soon, it is so hard to lose a pet!

Merlin Olsen, football Hall of Famer and television actor has died at the age of 69.
Olsen was diagnosed with mesothelioma last year. He died in a Los Angeles hospital last night.
Olsen played football for Utah State the LA Rams in 1962. But most of you might remember him from “Little House on the Prairie”. He also starred on his own television show, a sort of spin-off of “Little House” called, “Father Murphy,” in the early 80’s.
Utah State University plans on erecting a statue of Olsen at their stadium.

Conan is taking his show on the road, bitches! What a brilliant idea. It’s almost as if he is a politician and he is garnering votes. Heh. The name of his tour is also genius and takes a stab at NBC:

About his tour, Conan joked, “It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house.” Ha!

I mentioned this during my Ustream on Monday, but haven’t posted about it yet. I am psyched about this. Generally speaking, SNL has sucked this season, minus Zack Galifianakis hosting last week and Pearl Jam performing this week. Now we have Betty White hosting in May – yay!
The May 8th episode will be a Mother’s Day special and past SNL cast members Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Molly Shannon, Maya Rudolph, Ana Gasteyer and Rachel Dratch will also make appearances on that particular show.
Lorne Michaels talked about the Facebook movement in which fans of Betty White pushed for the 88-year-old comedienne to host the show:
“It took on a groundswell. It isn’t something we would have said no to, [but it] validated that, ‘Oh, that’d be fun’… It was the outpouring of affection from fans, and we feel the same way.”
Molly Ringwald is a little camera shy as she is spotted in New York, New York.
Since seeing Molly Ringwald and the rest of the 80’s ‘Brat Pack’ n the Academy Awards during the John Hughes tribute, I am totally feening for some ‘Pretty in Pink‘ & Duckie! I just pulled it up on Netflix and am bummed that that flick isn’t available to watch on your computer. The Breakfast Club is though!
Corey Feldman on Larry King last night, speaking about his best friend’s death.
Feldman tells of how he learned about Haim’s death, “I woke up to my door being pounded on, my bedroom door, and it was my sister’s voice and she said, ‘I need to talk to you right away, there’s an emergency.’ ”
Feldman in a black shirt and white tie, was very composed and calm during the interview.
He defended Corey Haim in death, saying that the media needs to stop allegeing a drug overdose until those facts have been confirmed.
“The first thing I need to say is people need to stop jumping the gun, they need to stop saying it’s a drug overdose . . . because at the ed of the day, until the coroner’s report comes out, until we have specific evidence, until we know exactly what the toxicology reports say, nobody knows.”
As for the outpouring of celebs and people who, since Haim’s death are saying how much they loved the actor, Feldman says this: “Where were all these people the last 10-15 years?”
This is so true. Haim was Hollywood kryptonite. Nobody wanted to touch him, or be seen with him – except Corey Feldman. I find it funny that Ashton Kutcher, every time someone dies, has something to say. This time with Haim he called him a “childhood hero,” on Twitter. It came across as being extremely fake to me..
Even though I think it’s great that Feldman remained friends with Haim through all of his drug years and through times when no one else would stand by him, I find it a bit odd that not even 24 hours after his best friend’s death he was doing televised interviews. Hmmm…
Anyhow, if you missed the Corey Feldman Larry King interview, here are some highlights:
Corey Feldman also took to his blog to write about Corey Haim’s death yesterday. He wrote:
“R.I.P. COREY IAN HAIM 1971-2009
I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived. ~ Corey”
Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston on the cover of the latest “W” magazine.
The two reportedly have a huge spread in the April issue. They are playing up their characters from their upcoming film, The Bounty Hunter which hits theaters March 19th.
Shock Jock Howard Stern is stirring up controversy again by saying that Precious star Gabourey Sidibe is too “enormous” to ever work again.
[Listen to the audio clip of Howard Stern/ Robin Quivers talking about Gabourey Sidibe below]
“There’s the most enormous, fat black chick I’ve ever seen. She is enormous. Everyone’s pretending she’s a part of show business and she’s never going to be in another movie. She should have gotten the Best Actress award because she’s never going to have another shot. What movie is she gonna be in?”
Ok, so Howard was harsh in saying what he said, but really people, is he wrong? I don’t think so. Sure, Gabourey might land a role or two in the next year (which she already has) but after the buzz of Precious is over, so will Gabourey’s career be.
You can argue that Mo’Nique, Oprah Winfrey, etc. are all successful in the entertainment industry, but they have established careers. They have all been doing this many years and none of them started out with an Academy Award nomination. The only place Gabourey has to go is down, sadly.
And as for Howard calling her “enormous,” well, I hate to break it to you folks who are freaking out about this, but she IS HUGE. And like he says, she will die an early death if she doesn’t get healthy soon. She is at a dangerous weight, if not deadly.
I am not hating on Gabby, I think she’s great and was really hoping for her to win an Oscar. But I am not going to pretend what Howard says isn’t true – because it is.
Hollywood is so fickle. They all have their heads up Gabourey’s ass right now because she is “hot,” but before you know it, it will be like no one ever knew her. Howard is just speaking the truth, and sometimes the truth hurts.
‘Mad Men’ Barbies Joan Holloway, Roger Sterling, Don Draper and Betty Draper
Mattel has revealed it’s Mad Men Barbies!
The four characters the toy company has chosen to put into doll form are Joan, Roger, Don & Betty. So, Ok, I have’nt owned a Barbie in years, but seriously, I am considering getting these! But really, what would I do with them? *Sigh*I still can’t help thinking I want them..
I love how the women look like the vintage Barbies. I had some vintage 60’s Barbies when I was a kid and I would kill for them now! (Not to mention my Cher & Farrah Barbies, as well as Donny & Marie in those funky purple outfits!) My great-grandma bought them for me at a yard sale or something, and I loved them even back then. They were always more demure than the 70’s & 80’s Barbies I was playing with at the time. They had thick liner on their lids, snotty looks on their faces and rigid extremities. Heh.
Anyhow, the Mad Men Barbies will be a part of the Barbie Fashion Model Collection and will go for a whopping $74.95 each. 7,000 to 10,000 dolls of each character will be manufactured. The Mad Men Barbies will be sold in specialty stores and on amctv.com and barbiecollector.com.
80’s teen heartthrob Corey Haim was found dead this morning in his mother’s apartment.
Corey reportedly collapsed in his mother’s bedroom before his death. Prescription drugs were found nearby. Haim had been battling a flu recently but the drugs were not flu related. No illicit drugs were found.
Corey Haim was only 38. His battle with drugs was widely known and even documented on the reality show, “‘The Two Coreys.” Corey died in the same apartment complex that singer Rick James was found dead in.
I am very sad to hear Corey is dead. I had a major crush on him in the 80’s, and in recent years found it very sad that he had reverted to drugs on such an insane level. (He actually cleaned his act up for awhile, 5-6 yrs ago.)
I’m sure his best friend of many years, Corey Feldman will be quite shaken up from the news. He is currently going through a bitter divorce with estranged wife, Susie.
It’s always sad reporting about a dead celebrity, there have been far too many in the past year, and amazingly enough, they just keep dying from drug overdoses.
Sadly, we saw Corey’s death coming. He was a mess there for awhile. His inner demons just kept on winning…
Hopefully Corey is at peace now, I don’t think he had been at peace for many, many years. But dammit, 38 is far too young to die. Thoughts go out to his mother who discovered him. I cannot even imagine.
R.I.P. Corey Haim 1971 – 2010
Below: Video of Corey Haim with best friend Corey Feldman taken just a few weeks ago by TMZ. Corey looks really good in the video – and sober. He seemed clear and sharp, and those awful dark circles under his eyes weren’t there. A damn shame…
